Dick Van Dyke's love for his wife, Arlene Silver, 46 years his junior, grows stronger every day.

According to Page Six, the Mary Poppins icon, who's approaching 100, met Silver, 53, during the SAG Awards in 2006 and instantly felt a connection. He spoke of their undying spark during their Vandy Camp fundraiser in Malibu on Sunday (April 20), telling People:

"We get along so well. Everybody said it wouldn’t work. I never said hello to a strange girl in my life. I was too scared. But I was at a show backstage and she walked by, and for some reason, I just jumped up and said, 'Hi, I’m Dick.' There’s something about her [that] got me, and I was right."

Silver also commented on their ever-evolving relationship, unveiling that it's "eerie how well [the marriage] works. We just care about each other so much. People the same age don’t last."

Page Six mentioned that the Night At The Museum sensation hired Silver as his makeup artist after their first meeting, and they maintained a working relationship for years. It wasn't until six years after they met that they said "I do" in 2012 (Silver 40, Van Dyke, 86).

Silver confessed that, to this day, Van Dyke makes her "feel like I can do anything," to which the star sweetly replied, "And you can."
